I'm a huge StreamLight fan myself If I had to pick a "team", for me it would be Malkoff I would tell a non-flashaholic person that my top 3 flashlight manufacturers are Malkoff, StreamLight, and SureFire 4th would be Fenix 5th would be MagLite I still recommend MagLites for many/most novices, as almost everyone understands what they are, and how they work, I also have to say that their newer offerings are very good Same, I'm not a fan of (blind) brand loyalty
